Normally like Tipton, but this idea can done better with something else, like an Otis RipcordI bought this to get the most out of my effort in cleaning my weapons. This is based on matching the caliber of your weapon. The rope has copper bristles in it at the front and that clears the contaminants. The rest of the rope pulls through to put the finish to a job well done.This is a wonderful, high quality bore snake. It does the job.End to End bearings make it nice to continuously loop the snake through. I've actually used it with the bearings unconnected too and its easy peasy.I am very happy with this purchase.
